Meet Matt Ashby

GKO Chester is led by Managing Director Matt Ashby, who brings around 20 years of experience in the kitchen industry. His career has combined kitchen design and product knowledge with a strong technical understanding of how kitchens are specified, prepared and installed.

Matt’s earlier experience includes a senior technical and installation management role at the head office of a national German kitchen retailer. Since 2008, he has worked extensively with German kitchen furniture, developing detailed knowledge of cabinetry, planning requirements and the practical considerations that help a kitchen project run smoothly.

This breadth of experience allows Matt to consider much more than the appearance of a kitchen. He understands how design decisions affect installation, usability and long-term performance, helping the team develop solutions that are both visually considered and technically sound.

Matt is supported by an experienced team with extensive knowledge of kitchen design, project planning, and customer care. Together, they bring creativity and technical insight to projects of every size, from compact kitchens requiring careful space planning to larger open-plan rooms with more complex requirements.

The team’s role is not to steer you towards a predetermined solution. Instead, they listen carefully, explain the available options and help you understand the advantages of different layouts, finishes, appliances and materials.

Just had my kitchen from Chester, shopped around and called there last. The moment I set foot in the building, the kitchen I wanted was displayed right in front of me. Chatting to the weekend lady she booked me in for an appointment the very next week . Long story short, I now have the perfect kitchen, designed properly by a proper kitchen designer with several unique features none of the others offer, and it came in within my budget. Honestly if you’re looking at Wren and Wren prices, these can compete. You need to visit, the kitchens are SO much nicer. Much better quality & much more experienced, knowledgeable staff . 100% recommended. Turned up pretty much on time and nothing was missing!

Excellent From Start to Finish
The whole process of buying a kitchen from German Kitchen Outlet Chester has been excellent from start to finish. When we initially visited the Chester shop, the staff were friendly, helpful and answered all our queries but were not ‘pushy’ unlike some kitchen sales stores. What a lovely company.
We have spoken to Matt on a number of occasions regarding queries about the kitchen and he has been unfailingly patient and extremely knowledgeable. Definitely the Best Designed
We have had a few German kitchens fitted both in the UK and Portugal and, while this was arguably the least expensive, it is definitely the best designed – well done, Ross. It was fitted well and the end result is excellent and a great practical kitchen to use with some interesting special features. The work included a new kitchen and building a utility in a garage.
